Boulder Utah Trip

When my mom was young my grandparents would bring her and her sister to boulder utah for the summer. They have had this house there ever sense. When my grandparents got to old to take care of it and come there my aunt emily bought it so it would stay in the family. My mom has brought us here every summer our whole lives so it is what we do every summer at least once. It is a favorite for sure. Everyone we take there loves it. It's hard not to. The town has about 150 people that live there so its away from everything. A lot of good times. This was Colton's second trip there and he has loved it since the first day we went last year.
The traditional picture on the front porch before we leave. This was the group of the trip.
Cooper was so pooped from the day he passed out. This is how we found him sleeping.
All the mighty fishermen. We caught a total of 14 fish this trip, 1 the night before, 3 up at Kings pasture and 10 that night at the power plant. Colton caught the huge one on the end at the end of the night.
Colton's last caught of the night, biggest I have ever seen come out of this pond. It was 16 inches long.
Jenna catching one of her many fish of the night. Colton was our official fish taker offer.
Bailey and Rachel waiting for their line to catch. We all caught a lot here.
The first fish caught of the day up at Kings Pasture. We didn't get many bite all day up there. I caught two of the four that were caught there. I let this one go, a little small.
We hiked down to a place called the upper calf creek falls. This is on the edge of the canyon looking over the falls. We don't swim in the actual falls. There is a pool above the falls that we jump off an edge into. It is Ice cold and a lot of fun. It's the traditional hike we take all new comers on.

Balboa California

My step dad Dale's cousin Jennifer and Jeff own a beach house in Balboa California. It is right next to Newport Beach. This is the third time they have invited us down to stay with them. It was so much fun. It is a great location and they have every kind of toy and fun you could want at the beach. It was the best weather, best family, very nice place to stay and so much fun.
The last day Sunday it just happened to be our cousin Zana's baby blessing so we packed up all our stuff and headed off to church. Everyone but Starley could make it. We missed her.
Headed out on our bike ride to Balboa Island. We rode bikes everywhere. It's to crazy for cars. Bikes are so much more fun anyways especially beach cruising bikes as they are called.
We went out to the lawn area and played a few games and just hung out. This beach house was about 200 yards from the beach and closer than that to the play area on the beach where we are here. It was so great.
Yummy Balboa bars. You have to get these when you come to Balboa, it's just what you do.
We had just ridden a wave in on the boogy boards. All of us got a little beat up by the waves on this trip. But it was so much fun, good work out.
We played a hard core game of woffle ball. It got very competitive. This is a great action shot of me by McKenna.
Getting ready to hit the waves for the first time the first day. I love the beach it is so much fun!
This is a game some of my old roommates taught me called keys. You get to know everyone who is playing very well, especially when people get creative. In this picture Bailey held the keys and ended up with Chris, then Jeff, then Matt all on his back. He was dripping with sweat during this. Heavy load.
Dale has his special way of giving massages and the walk through, so Sam wanted to learn how to do it. He took notices through the whole thing. Colton was happy to be the example.
Colton and Chris had never played in the pacific ocean and they just loved it. They were like little boys with a new puppy. It was fun to watch them. Both of them got slammed into the sand by waves the second day we went out when they were huge with a rip tide coming in.
On our bike ride. Colton took the smallest bike in of the 15 in the garage and he is the biggest boy. But he was happy with it and the ride was great.
This was right before they all turned and ran into the waves for the first time of them trip and first time for chris and colton.
