My step dad Dale's cousin Jennifer and Jeff own a beach house in Balboa California. It is right next to Newport Beach. This is the third time they have invited us down to stay with them. It was so much fun. It is a great location and they have every kind of toy and fun you could want at the beach. It was the best weather, best family, very nice place to stay and so much fun.
The last day Sunday it just happened to be our cousin Zana's baby blessing so we packed up all our stuff and headed off to church. Everyone but Starley could make it. We missed her.Headed out on our bike ride to Balboa Island. We rode bikes everywhere. It's to crazy for cars. Bikes are so much more fun anyways especially beach cruising bikes as they are called.
We went out to the lawn area and played a few games and just hung out. This beach house was about 200 yards from the beach and closer than that to the play area on the beach where we are here. It was so great.
Yummy Balboa bars. You have to get these when you come to Balboa, it's just what you do.
We had just ridden a wave in on the boogy boards. All of us got a little beat up by the waves on this trip. But it was so much fun, good work out.
We played a hard core game of woffle ball. It got very competitive. This is a great action shot of me by McKenna.
Getting ready to hit the waves for the first time the first day. I love the beach it is so much fun!
This is a game some of my old roommates taught me called keys. You get to know everyone who is playing very well, especially when people get creative. In this picture Bailey held the keys and ended up with Chris, then Jeff, then Matt all on his back. He was dripping with sweat during this. Heavy load.
Dale has his special way of giving massages and the walk through, so Sam wanted to learn how to do it. He took notices through the whole thing. Colton was happy to be the example.
Colton and Chris had never played in the pacific ocean and they just loved it. They were like little boys with a new puppy. It was fun to watch them. Both of them got slammed into the sand by waves the second day we went out when they were huge with a rip tide coming in.
On our bike ride. Colton took the smallest bike in of the 15 in the garage and he is the biggest boy. But he was happy with it and the ride was great.
This was right before they all turned and ran into the waves for the first time of them trip and first time for chris and colton.
